Research and Evaluation
The Department of Research and Evaluation provides support to the district for administration, analysis, and reporting of the following:
- district-selected assessments
- state-mandated assessments
- particular curriculum-related assessments
- district surveys, including school improvement planning, curriculum reviews, program evaluation and schools/district special projects
In addition, our department provides support for:
- the development of the district-selected assessments and the district surveys
- scoring of the district-selected assessments and curriculum-related assessments
We also conduct research to better understand the complexities in education and student learning. Finally, we publish comprehensive reports for the District (e.g., Yearbook) and each individual school (e.g., School Information Reports). The reports present updated district/school demographic information, current year and longitudinal assessment results, and perceptions and opinions from students, parents and staff annually.
Our goal is to collect reliable, valid and meaningful information, to analyze, and to report in a timely fashion and in a clear and user-friendly form for administrators, teachers, students, parents and the community.
