FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Edina Community Education Adult Programs presents Jim Ramstad Edina, Minn., March 12, 2009 – Former U.S. Representative Jim Ramstad will return to Minnesota as a speaker for the 2009 Look Who’s Talking speaker series. The event is organized by Edina Community Education Adult Programs. Ramstad was named “Legislator of the Year” in 1998 by the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Counselors for his lead role in providing better access to treatment for those with mental illness and chemical addiction. Ramstad will give a message of hope by sharing his own story of alcoholism and recovery. “I am living proof that treatment works and recovery is real,” Ramstad said. He will speak on Monday, March 23 at 7 p.m. The event will be held at the Edina Performing Arts Center at 6754 Valley View Road in Edina. Attendees are instructed to enter at Door #3. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Students can enter for free with ID. A portion of the proceeds will go to a charity of Ramstad’s choice.
