Three Edina Students Chosen to Represent Minnesota
All-Star Cheerleading Performance Team

Edina, Minn., Aug 14, 2008 – Three Edina High School students have been selected to represent the All-State Cheerleading Performance Team, a co-ed group comprised of the best cheerleaders in Minnesota. Holly Johnson, Sarah Johnson and Lucy Rymes are among the 27 students selected from 10 different high schools to represent the inaugural cheerleading squad.

The roster was put together by Northern Elite All Stars, a Minnesota cheerleading company. Athletes were hand-picked for the team because of their talent, hard work and overall dedication to the sport of cheerleading. The performance team is scheduled to showcase a complex mixture of stunting and tumbling routines throughout the 2008-2009 cheerleading season. Performance exhibitions are scheduled as follows:

• Nov. 1, 2008 –   Lakeville North High School
• Nov. 8, 2008 –   Minnetonka High School
• Nov. 16, 2008 – Eastview High School
• TBD – Armstrong High School
• Jan. 31, 2009 – The Minnesota Cheerleading Coaches Association
  (MCCA) State Competition in St. Paul

All routines are approved by state cheerleading guidelines. During each performance, athletes will wear cheerleading uniforms that represent their high schools.
