The mission of the Edina Family Center is to enhance the quality of family life through early childhood and family education.

What is ECFE?

Early Childhood Family Education at the Edina Family Center (EFC) is a Community Education Service of the Edina Public Schools and is the first connection between families and the school district.  ECFE classes are 1-2 hours a week, depending on the age of the child, and offer three components:

  • Parent and Child Interaction Time – an early childhood teacher, licensed by the Minnesota Department of Education, provides developmentally appropriate activities for parents and children to enjoy together.
  • Parent Discussion Time – parents and caregivers participate in a discussion, led by a Minnesota Department of Education licensed parent educator.  Joys and challenges of parenting are shared and topics are designed to address the developmental issues of each age group.

We offer:

In case of severe weather, the Edina Family Center follows the Edina School District Policy on School Closings
