ReNew, ReUse, ReCycle (ReReRe) allows businesses to economically dispose of excess, clean, useable supplies in an environmentally responsible way, while having a positive impact on education.
Businesses donate materials, which are displayed at the Edina Community Center. Teachers may select materials for classroom use during scheduled hours.
What materials may be donated? Everything from paper clips to office furniture! Especially popular have been file cabinets, ribbon, mouse pads, memo cubes and desk organizers.
Creative Edina Public School teachers turn donated materials into valuable learning tools. Styrofoam packing peanuts become a growing medium for a science class, while file folders help students learn organizational skills necessary for the workplace. Paint brushes, cassette players and salesmen's samples find new homes in classrooms. The possibilities are endless. Your business knows best what recyclables you may have.
Questions? or to donate supplies: Call Andrea on the ReReRe Hotline at 952-928-2556 or email andbernhardt@edina.k12.m.us
ReReRe is open for shopping Tuesdays from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
ReReRe is located in the lower level of the north end of the Edina Community Center.
Business people and educators have so much to share, and so much to gain, through partnerships. Business Partner opportunities include project development, classroom visits and business site visits. The emphasis varies. Past partnerships have included an elementary principal and a business consultant; a health teacher and a community consultant from Fairview Southdale Hospital; and an elementary classroom and a former Edina Sun Current editor.
Partners are encouraged to meet at least two or three times, set a plan that benefits both participants and measure and report outcomes. The benefits are far-reaching. Business people get a firsthand look at today's schools, help prepare the future work force and serve as role models of volunteerism. Teachers develop projects that incorporate business experience and expertise. And students receive information as well as inspiration, helping them set work and educational goals.

The Edina Student Employment Pool is a service offered through a partnership between Edina Chamber of Commerce and Edina Community Education Services.
The Student Employment Pool offers prospective employers and students job listings and job fairs at no charge.
Students dive into the task of finding a part-time, temporary or summer job with the Student Employment Pool and Student Employment Pool-sponsored job fairs. As one parent commented, "My son found the experience of looking for his first job a little risky, and he felt more comfortable about approaching an employer who had advertised through the Student Employment Pool."
Job Listings: Businesses may post job suitable for Edina students and college students looking for part-time, temporary or summer work. Listings are updated weekly based on messages left by businesses on the Student Employment Hotline and are posted at the Edina High School and online.
